Telma Martins, Mentor and Master Coach for women who love themselves

Telma began her journey as a Master coach for women after going through a long period of revelations in her life. Being a talented woman who sought to fit into different areas of work, managing a home and family life, she always felt that something was missing, something deeper in her relationship with herself. In her personal life, she found herself dissatisfied, struggling with herself critically until she decided to dive within herself, in a profound process that involved a lot of pain. For four years, she took care of her soul, reconciled with herself, forgave, and began to see the effects of her mental freedom... not only did she experience a huge change, but members of her family also began to receive a considerable share of this same healing process. Today, she helps other women find their inner happiness through a method she developed that combines coaching, holism, and a lot of personal experience. And her mission is to help and empower other women... She will soon be launching a group mentoring program for women, and we will have the latest updates on her renewal.

Can you share more about the crucial moment or experience that led you to transition into therapy and coaching for women?

When I entered this process of self-healing and personal development in 2019, it was solely for my own benefit. At the time, I had just become a mother for the second time and was immersed in motherhood, and it never crossed my mind that I could make a profession out of it. I cannot pinpoint a specific moment that led me to want to dive into this process. I have always been a spiritual person with above-average intuition. I always felt that there had to be more beyond the material world, and I realized I was right when I began this "dive". There was a thirst for more, perhaps even a permanent dissatisfaction... It was as if I felt that something was missing without ever understanding what it was. What started with a simple self-help book turned into an endless journey into my interior, my flaws, my blockages, my past...

  • How have your personal struggles and journey of self-discovery shaped the methodology and approach you use in your practice today?

Over time, I realized that my "pain" was the pain of many women: perfectionism, self-criticism and judgment, comparison... These were common to so many women! And the worst part was understanding that for most women, these behaviors were considered normal and acceptable. In other words, they were not even seen as a problem! In fact, for most women who were coming into my social network, these behaviors did not diminish their self-love. As I gradually began to talk about these issues, I noticed that more women wanted to change these patterns, more women became aware that although these behaviors were common, they were not entirely normal, and more women wanted to awaken the true woman within them and unlock their full potential. That is when I found the need to create my group mentoring program, where we dive deep within ourselves, in a process of healing and forgiveness to ourselves and those who came before us, so that we can truly live the life we deserve to live.

What are some of the most common challenges women face in their pursuit of fulfilment and empowerment, and how do you address them in your coaching sessions?

One of the most common challenges is overcoming fear. Our brains work to always protect us. This kind of process involves reflection, awareness, pain, behavior change... Everything our brain avoids as much as possible. What is often observed in practice is resistance to change and a desire to stay in the comfort zone, but the comfort zone is a zone without evolution. Many women have an unconscious fear of the person they can become because of what others might think of that change, because, those who go through this process never remain the same, and the truth is that there are people around us who distance themselves but there are also new people who come closer, people who connect with our new frequency. But indeed, the fear of the new is something very present in all of us. But as I always say, it takes courage to want to step into our best version. Fear will be there at the beginning of the journey but courage joins the process and fear ceases to exist.

You offer holistic methods with personal experience in your approach. Could you explain some specific techniques or practices that you incorporate to help women on their journey towards inner happiness?

The tools I use in my mentoring sessions are coaching and NLP tools. We employ visualization exercises with strong emotional impact to reframe past events and to bring about new thoughts and behaviors, promoting healing and liberation of our inner child. Mentoring involves a process of self-forgiveness and forgiveness of our ancestry; our ancestry ceases to be a burden and becomes a source of strength. We work on our self-image to strengthen our self-esteem and self-confidence, knowing that we are made in the image and likeness of the Creator and that we are already loved by Him even before we were in our mothers' womb.

  • How do you balance meeting the individual needs of your clients while also fostering a sense of community and support among the women you work with?

On my social media platforms, I frequently publish completely free content to bring awareness to the women who follow me and come to me. However, I began to realize that I wasn't reaching as many women as I would like due to the limited availability of appointments, which is why this group mentoring program emerged. This way, I can truly reach out to more women and have a greater impact, transforming more lives.

What inspired the launch of workshops specifically tailored to groups of women, and what can   participants expect to gain from these sessions?

Firstly, reaching women who did not have the financial means to sit down with me individually. Recognizing that ALL of us need to dive into this process because it is through us women that this legacy of repeated patterns passes to the next generation. And we have the duty, if not for ourselves, then for our children, to heal and to be our best version. In my mentoring, the client undergoes a process of deep introspection, self-discovery, love, and forgiveness that will allow her to unlock/eliminate limiting patterns in her life, achieve her best version of a woman who loves herself unconditionally, free from criticism and judgment, and able to simply live in fulfilment.

In your experience, how does empowerment translate into tangible changes in women's lives, both personally and professionally?

For me, empowered women are women who love themselves. A woman who loves herself does not depend on either criticism or praise; she lives her best version. She recognizes that life is good and vibrates on a frequency of daily gratitude. This inevitably brings effects in all areas of her life and in her relationships (husband, children, friends, coworkers...).

Looking to the future, what are your aspirations and goals in terms of expanding your impact and reaching more women with your message of empowerment?

My goal is to overflow my knowledge to many more women. I want to impact and transform more and more women so that we can all live a good life, an abundant life. So that we can all be our best version, a version that is not better or worse than another woman's, but rather a reflection of our true essence. So that we can know that we are and will always be loved.
